Possible Color Change to Crystal Insert

Hi Everyone,

I didnt plan on making this update but, to give you the short version of this complication, the company that prints the inserts for my bag manu is starting to thinking im ”too strict” and if I continue to ask them to update the colors on the samples, that theyll no longer work with me and I‘ll have to find a different bag manufacturer.

 Either way, my manu has let me know that no matter what, the colors may be different from the concept art and approved samples on the inserts. (Which doesnt make sense to me because the whole point of the samples is to check and approve colors but, I digress)

So, ultimately, Ive been placed between a rock and a hard place. My two options are: accept the next insert sample even if the colors are nothing like the concept and deal with it and disappoint those that ordered the crystal insert and not risk having to find a new manu or change the colors from 3 to 1 and disappoint those who ordered the crystals if they dont like the new color but, inserts come out like people are expecting and I dont have to find a new manufacturer.

To me, the best option in this case would be to disappoint those who ordered the crystals insert and not risk disappointing everyone who ordered the bag and inserts by getting “blacklisted” from my manu. 

Here is what Im thinking of for the new crystal color. Ive decided on this color because it would match the crystals on the pins. I also tried looking at how pink and purple crystals would look but, they either didnt look right or made too much of a pink theme between all of the inserts. 

Ill be seeing what happens with the next sample and decide from there if it would be better to change colors or continue with the current crystal colors.

Please let me know what you think of this possible change, I would love to hear your guys’ feedback.

Ita bag and Insert Sample Update

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to quickly come on here and let you all know whats going on behind the scenes for me and the samples. 

Firstly, the good news. As far as Im aware, the pink, purple, and black bag samples are in production and will, hopefully, be done shortly. The bubbly brew, herbal leaves, and sparkle inserts are also all approved. Pins are in mass production. Acrylic Charm is paid for and is in sample production. Lastly, the buttons are being made as well. Since Im making the buttons by hand, Im slowly but surely working on those.

The bad news, the crystal insert is the only thing giving me a lot of problems. To show you what I mean, here are the sample pictures Ive received over the past couple of weeks. 

  In this first picture, all of the pinks are REALLY neon. The sparkle one was approved. all others were updated with new colors. 

      In this picture, the herbals leaves were approved. However, the bubbly brew is suppose to have black lineart and the crystals look 100x better here but the purple turned into a greyish blue. Both the bubbly brew and crystals went back for an updated sample but Herbal leaves was approved.

      This one I just recieved this morning. Bubbly Brew was approved but, once again, the crystals are having problems. The purple looks better but now the pinks are too neon again. I didnt change any of the colors between this sample and the previous sample so, I honestly dont know what to tell my manu. Either way though, the sample isnt perfect. It will be going back into sample production.

     To save myself time and a headache, I think Im just gonna ask for them to send me the other 3 inserts with the bags and get those finalized and put into production while I get the crystals approved because, so far, this process has gone on a lot longer than I would have preferred.

 Heres a little look at the colors of the bags. This picture was to provided for me to approve the logos.

  At this time, I dont know if we’ll make the January deadline and may need to aim more for Feburary or March.

     Ill still plan on charging cards on November 11th even if I dont have the sample just so, you all dont have to worry about a sudden charge with the holiday season approaching. If after seeing the samples, youd like to change your bag color, please let me know so I may change it on my end.    Im really sorry about the delay but, I really dont want these inserts to come put poorly since this will be a big part of the bag for some.

Shipping Cost Mishap - Please Read If You’re Outside of the U.S.

Hi Everyone,

I hate that there was another mishap on my part and I feel so bad right now.

I went into my whole order shipping amounts and I somehow switched canadian and mexico shipping with the Intl shipping rates. I don't know how this happened because I could have sworn I set it up properly, but either way, it happened. 

Pin Backers and 2 Bag backer orders will not be affected since these prices were the same. However, 1 bag backers will either be receiving a partial refund if they paid through paypal and are a Canadian or Mexico backer and all Intl backers affected will have an -$15 charge added to their backerkit surveys that will need to be paid for. 

All Canadian/Mexico backers that have not yet been charged have been given a $15 credit added to their accounts to account for the shipping overage. 

I've gone ahead and privately messaged those affected and will continue to monitor surveys as they come in to fix those affected as well. Please check your messages if you are outside of the US, Canada, and Mexico if you're a early bird 1 bag or 1 bag backer. 

If you are one of those affected, please check your backerkit surveys by going to cauldron-ita.backerkit.com to pay for the charge. 

Once again, I am so incredibly sorry for this and I hope you can all forgive me.

Error on Board Filler/Mini Pin Add-Ons

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to quickly come on here and say that I made an error when setting up the board filler/mini pin add on listing. 

Just some backstory on how this error occured, backerkit has two ways to price something in a listing. A main price and a variant price. If you have variants on a listing, you can add a price for each variant but if you add a Main Price, it will add-on an additional charge if there is also a pricing on the variants. 

Its very confusing, and I kinda hate it but, either way, I have fixed it once it was brought to my attention. Instead of $11 per mini pin, it is now $5.50 per mini pin and $11 for two. 

If you added on a mini pin, you may be able to go into your backerkit survey, head over to the add on section and choose an additional mini pin if you decided to add those to your pledge.

If you were charged $11 for a single mini pin and are unable to add on a second one, please message me or email me ([email protected]) and I will get that sorted for you.
