Attention AU Backers - Shipping delayed

Hi Everyone,

This update is primarily for my Australian residents. I recieved a message last night from one of you regarding USPS shipping being suspended because of covid and the decreased number in flights. Initally, I saw this suspension was only gonna last 3 days and didnt look much further than that. However, unfortuantely, that looks to have not been the case. 

For a good number of you, I already sent out your parcel and I dont know if it will be returned to me or forward without issue. However, if it is returned to me, i dont know how long that will take. Hopefully not too long, since I would hope they catch it before forwarding to Australia. For context, the way intl’ parcels work for me when I ship them out is that theyre sent to a facility in California and then forwarded to the reciepent. 

Either way, I voided the labels for those of you I was gonna send out this Friday and will be reaching out to those affected to see if upgrading to a different service will be a viable solution for you. If I dont hear back or if you would prefer for me to hold onto the package until usps is accepting parcels again, I will be more than happy to do that for you. 

If you dont recieve an email from me, and you are an AU resident, that means your package was already sent and I will instead reach out if that package is returned to me. 

I apologize for the inconvience but, unfortuantely, this wasnt something I could control. I will take blame that I didnt look further into the suspension after the 3 days had passed though.

FINAL CALL FOR ADDRESS CHANGES!

Hi Everyone,

The time has come! Im, for the most part, organized and unpacked from my move and have some of the bags graded and can get started on fulfillment very soon. I just sent out a final call for address changes via backerkit so, I ask that you please check your email and confirm your address in backerkit is correct. If you are between homes, in the process of moving, or will be moving very soon, please let me know so I may make note of it on my end and hold onto your shipment until you’re ready for it. Ill be spending the rest of today getting stuff as ready as I can to begin fulfillment. I‘m still working on grading the black bags since I wasn’t able to make it through as many as I had hoped by the end of August. So, it may take me a bit longer to get all of the orders out but, I‘m still hoping to have all of the orders out by mid October.

So far, I think I have enough bags to fulfill all the 2 and 3 bag orders and the pink and purple bag orders. And then, Ill be trying to make my way through the international orders, the One of Everything orders, and the rest of the black bag orders. I, also, realized Im nearly out of printer ink so, I ordered some replacements and, hopefully, that will be in soon so I can work on getting the coupon codes printed out to include in all of your orders.

Anyway, that’s all I have for now. I hope that you are as excited to finally recieve your bag, as much as I am to see them arriving in their new homes. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns, please feel free to reach out using the information above to get ahold of me.

Update on Wing Remakes - No Remakes Coming

Hi Everyone,

I have some good news and some not so good news. The good news is, is that you can (hopefully) expect your bag to arrive around September/October! I’ll be recieving my household goods tomorrow and, as long as nothing goes wrong, I can start shipping out rewards in September! Which means all of you spooky witches and warlocks can expect to have your bag relatively soon. 

Im still making my way through the bag grading process and, unfortuantely, we didnt get to grade as many bags as we had hoped when my mom came out to visit. But, it‘s alright because Im gonna do my best to get a lot done throughout the next couple of weeks while also working on fulfilling the 2 and 3 bags orders and the pink and purple bag orders. Ill also try getting out the intl’ orders first too since those have a longer shipping time. 

Onto the not so good news that brought upon the above good news. I can‘t get the wings remade afterall. My manufacturer contacted me the other day letting me know that they ran out of the snaps originally used on my bulk order. They let me know that they made a sample set to see if some other snaps they have would work and, unfortuantely, the snaps were not compatible to the ones on my bags. I asked my manufacturer how long it would take to get the same snaps used on my bag and, unfortuantely, it would take an excessive amount of time (partly due to Covid). As to not make you all wait any longer than you already have, I have made the executive decision to forgo the remakes.

I hope you all can forgive me for not being able to give exactly as advertised with the wings but, overall, the missing extra stitching doesnt take away from the fact that these wings still look fantastic and will be a cute add on to your cauldron ita bags. However, for the inconvience of not being able to give exactly as advertised, I wanted to give you all a little something to make up for it.

For Those That Added On An Extra Set of Wings:

Since a few of you went out of your way to spend additional money to add-on another set of wings (rather than just getting the free set that came with the bags), I wanted to give you all a little something extra. So, Im gonna give you select few, a $5 off coupon for any purchase over $5 in my Etsy or Shopify, as well as, the 15% off coupon. 

Since the wings were $5 add-on and you’re not getting exactly what you paid for, I thought that this would be the least I could do to make it up to you all for the slight inconvience after you spent additional money to support me and this campaign.

I still greatly appreciate all of the support and patience you all have given me throughout the process of this campaign, even with all of the set backs, which is why I wanted to give back with the coupons. (PLEASE READ) Grading Scale + Wing Remakes

Hi Everyone, 

Great news! The boxes arrived on island and are currently sitting in my garage waiting to be graded :D

If you missed some of the previous updates, just to reiterate, I will be grading the pink and purple bags first and maybe a box or two of the black bags. I’ll be working on getting the 3 and 2 bag orders out first, once my household goods arrive so I may begin fulfillment. After the 3 and 2 bag orders, Ill work on the rest of the pink and purple bags and then work on single black bag orders since those will take the most amount of time.

Im hoping to try and have grading done by the end of August and focus on fulfillment the month of September. However, there is a problem…

PROBLEM WITH WINGS

While going through a box of the purple bags. I noticed that the wings were stictched incorrectly because, as you can see, they just have the outer edges stitched but, the stitching that was supposed to go on the wing to create that angel and bat wing look, was forgotten. 

Ive gone ahead and reached out to my manufacturer to see what my options are in terms of getting these wings remade with the correct look and, thankfully, she and her team are gonna be working on remaking all 430 sets of wings. She let me know that production time will be about 20 business days but she’ll be helping push this along as fast as she can. Once finished, they’ll be sent straight to Hawaii and I can then begin fulfillment.

Overall, I dont think the change to the wings looks bad but, it wasnt what I asked for nor was it what I was promised nor you all were promised.

However, if you like the blank wings and would prefer not to wait longer, please let me know via email ([email protected]) with the name on your order so I can work on getting those of you who opt for the blank wings, sent out in September. If I do not recieve a message of sorts saying that you want the blank wings, I will be putting your order on hold until the replacements arrive. For those of you who choose to wait for the replacements, I will be giving each of you a set of free blank wings to make up for the wait. The blank set you recieve will be pre-determined by the set you initially opted for in your survey. Example: If you wanted  bat wings, you will recieve both a pair of the original/replacement bat wings and a set of the blank bat wings. The additional sets of blank wings will be available in my shop for a slightly discounted price.

GRADING SCALE 

Id also like to give you all a grading scale of what I consider to be A grade, A-/B+ grade, and B grade that way you all know that to expect when recieving your bags. The A-/B+ tier is there for bags that are practically A grade quality but just have a couple of things I cant seem to fix/clean. I‘ve been doing my best to fix anything I see visibly wrong with the bags while grading but, ultimately, these are handmade products and will have slight imperfections that may or may not be visible. There may also be problems that I miss. Also, C grade bags are gonna be bags that just, functionally, do not work. They can look perfect but, if theres a broken zipper, then theyre a C grade bag.

With this grading scale in mind, I will not be accepting returns, refunds, exchanges, or sending out replacements if your bag has anything wrong with it in the A grade category. Like I posted in the disclaimer above, A grades are not supposed to be perfect but, they are very close.  Ive been spending about 5 to 10 minutes on each bag while quality checking them to try and minimize the amount of problems that may arise but, there will of course be things that I miss and I just want to be as up front and transparent as possible as to what I consider good and bad quality with these bags. 

I will, of course, only be sending out the A grade bags but, if you notice any of these other problems, please let me know and we can work something out.

Also, please keep in mind that things can happen in transit where the bag may arrive in poor condition. I cannot control the things that happen once these bags leave my hands but I will do my best to rectify the situation if I can.

Bag Fulfillment Beginning Soon!

Hi Everyone, 

Thank you for yor patience over this past month as things were crossing the ocean. I got word that all 30 boxes have arrived in California and they should be loading a boat very soon (hopefully today or tomorrow) and starting their week long journey to Hawaii. I was initially hoping that I would be recieving the bags early next week since they arrived in California on Friday (7/23) but, unfortuantely, that was not the case. However, either late next week or the week after I should be able to go pick up all the boxes and begin the quality checking process! 

Also, during this time, I just got word this morning that my household goods will be arriving in Hawaii this weekend which is fantastic news since thats where all the boxes and  prepackaged rewards are located! So, hopefully, I can get delievery scheduled and get everything soon after one another. 

Once everything is in hand, my mom will be flying out to help me quality check and put orders together. Im currently estimating about a month or two to get everything out but, it could take longer. Im planning on getting all 2 and 3 bag orders out first and then working on all pink and purple bags and, lastly, working on the black bags. The black bags have the most amount of people so once I get the other colors and quantities out of the way, it should be a very quick streamlined process to get the rest out. 

Im gonna have a lot to do this month depending on when everything arrives so, I would appreciate just a little more patience from you all while we are reaching the final stretch of the Kickstarter. 

Also, I will be putting out a notification through backerkit for final call for address updates very soon. But, I wont do that until the QC process is nearly done. 

Ill be sure to let you all know when the bags and other items have arrived and keep you updated throughout the fulfillment process to the best of my abilities.
