ATTENTION EU CUSTOMERS + Ita Bag Update

Hi Everyone,

If you live within the European Union, I highly recommend checking out a post I put up on Instagram regarding the changes expected of businesses when it comes to selling to the EU. There is some helpful information I summed up to, hopefully, help both EU customers and small businesses confused on whats going on.

How this affects this Kickstarter and Reward Fulfillment for EU customers: You will, unfortuantely, be charged VAT upon arrival. it differed for each country but, you can expect between 19%-25% of the total purchase price (not including shipping costs). On top of that, becuase I dont have an IOSS number (due to how expensive it is), you will also be charged a processing fee upon delivery of between $15-$35. 

I have gone ahead and privately messaged and emailed all affected backers to hopefully rectify this in some way. If you can please check out that message and let me know what you think, I would greatly appreciate it.

As for non EU related changes, I have gotten an update on the bags!

As of right now, all the bags have completed assembly and they’re working on quality checking them while also completing the inserts, legs, straps, and wings! 

My manufacturer has already taken down the shipping information needed to get the bags to me in Hawaii and will, hopefully, be sending them out before July 1st. 

With that said, please keep in mind it will take about a month by sea shipping to arrive in the U.S.. After they arrive at the facility in California, they will then be shipped over to me in Hawaii by boat, which will take about another week or so.

At this moment in time, I still dont have a house, my furniture, or even my car. Hopefully, things change by the end of July though. But, no matter what, if I have the bags but dont have my housing furniture, I cant ship out any rewards because the movers will have all the boxes I ordered, as well as, all of the prepackaged pins. 

I dont know how long it will be until we have our furniture but, as long as things dont get delayed or damaged along the way, Im hoping I can start shipping things out in August or September. 

Ill definitely keep you all updated as to what to expect in the coming weeks/months. 

Im still keeping my fingers and toes crossed that there will be no more delays!

Quick Update - Bags Are Still In Production

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to quickly update you all that the bags are still in production and, Im hoping that they will be done sometime in June. My manufacturer hasnt given me an updated timeline as to when theyll be ready so, that mid to late June deadline is just my hopeful estimate.

Also, if you’re curious how my move is going, my family and I are currently staying at a friend’s house while we wait for some paperwork to get sorted before we move to Hawaii. We, originally, had a June 1st arrival in Hawaii but we had to cancel all of our plans due to this paperwork not being done and, unfortuantely, this paperwork is out of our hands so, we dont even have a say or estimate as to when it will be done. My husband and I are hoping to be at our new duty station mid to late June though. If that does not happen, my manufacturer has already agreed to hang onto the packages until I know where we are going to be living. 

Because of this move though, I have gone on hiatus on my social medias. My shops are closed and my art block is very much alive. However, you can still contact me on instagram (@cinnitea) or via email ([email protected]) if you have any questions or concerns regarding orders.

Quick Update

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to send out a quick update regarding the bags. The bags have started production and the interior lining has started its printing process. I, unfortunately, missed a message from my manu on Monday regarding the print quality so, I approved the lining today to continue. 

The photo is manufacturer quality in terms of both camera and lighting but, it’s still cute.

As for shipping the bags, the move to hawaii is still happening at this moment in time. We're still just waiting to recieve the official orders so we can, truly, get this move started. The shipping to hawaii for the bags, was much more than expected because they could only be shipped from my manu either via express or air shipping (which you may recall was like $13000) BUT I found another option to get the bags to me. Theres a company in California whose whole thing is shipping items that you normally cant get shipped to hawaii, to hawaii. It will cost a couple thousand but, thankfully, I should be able to cover the costs no problem thanks to all your guys' support over the couse of the campaign. It will take an extra week or so for the bags to arrive from California to Hawaii, but I would say that's worth the wait. Especially if it wont put me in debt.

From there, it would just be a matter of quality checking and getting the bags sent back over to the continental US or to whichever country you reside in and, Im expecting, that entire process to take maybe a month or so? My mom may be flying out to help me pack so, maybe it will go faster.

On Track for April Production!

Hi Everyone, 

I hope youre doing well.

I wanted to update you all with some things that have been going on behind the scenes for this project. Firstly, and most importantly, my manufacturer has let me know that we are still on track for an April Production timeline! However, during the final weeks of March, I was told by some other artist friends of mine, that use the same manufacturer, that my rep had unexpentantly left the company. So, I was assigned a new rep within the same company. Ive done my best to get them all the files and updates needed for the bags for, hopefully, a smooth final production. 

As for the Moving (PCSing) situation, my husband and I are still waiting on word as to whether or not he will be medically cleared. We’re hoping to hear something soon since we’re practically a month away from having to pack up to move but, we’ll see what happens.

I did, however, ask my manufacturer if they could hold the bags at their facility, after they have been made, and she told me yes. I also asked for Air Shipping prices and should have those later tonight. 

Another fun thing is I have prepacked all of the pins, charms, stickers, etc from Backerkit! Im right now in the process of going back through all the orders to double check them and offically close them for easy shipment to Hawaii and or easy packaging for when the bags arrive. 

 Heres an example of how the packages look after being double checked and closed up. These will be put inside the bags when they are being shipped out to you all :)

When I was packing the items, I did, however, come across some missed orders that should have gone out in January or Feburary. Ill be going back through, once everything is packed, to make sure I didnt miss any other stragglers.
